History Folklore

Topaz is considered to be a legendary stone. Unfortunately, historians believe it was often confused with malachite and peridot, so the legends are weaken.

Topaz gets its name from the Sanskrit word for fire, though some say it got its name from the island of Topazios, which is found in the Red Sea.
